Karlsburg Castle
The Karlsburg is the ruin of a guest house built in the form of a castle by the Schleicher family on the wooded hill Kammerbusch, west of the Schönthal district of the municipality of Langerwehe in the Düren district of North Rhine-Westphalia. South of the Kammerbusch lies the village of Langerwehe-Heistern.
The Kammerbusch landscape garden with the castle hall and other ornamental buildings was built between 1858 and 1894. When the Schleicher era ended in the 1930s, the decline of the park, the Karlsburg, and its knight's hall began.
A family crypt is located in the chapel, which was restored in 2004.
The Karlsburg is listed as monument no. 38 in the list of architectural monuments in Langerwehe within the park.
