The Kastenbühl castle ruin, a hilltop castle, rises on the northern slope of the Schiener Berg. It is located near Singen-Bohlingen.
History+
Kastenbühl Castle was constructed in the 13th century. It was situated on a castle plateau approximately 40 meters long. Today, only a few traces of this complex, such as remnants of walls and ditches, as well as the remains of a round tower, are still visible.
Location+
The Kastenbühl ruin is located approximately 1500 meters southwest of the church in the Bohlingen district of Singen. It is situated in the Konstanz district in Baden-Württemberg, Germany, at an elevation of approximately 589 meters above sea level.
