Kleinsteinbach Castle

Kleinsteinbach Castle is the remnant of a hilltop castle on the 175.6 m above sea level Schösslebuckel hill, east of the Kleinsteinbach district of the municipality of Pfinztal in the Karlsruhe district of Baden-Württemberg.
The castle was built around 1100 and destroyed in the 14th century. The castle was probably owned by the Lords of Remchingen. The castle complex was a tower castle with a keep (residential tower) on a base area of 10.5 × 10.5 meters. The complex was secured towards the valley by a steep slope and towards the mountain spur by three ramparts.
