The remains of the castle can be visited

The castle was probably built in the 13th century. Due to the lack of sources, no mention of noble persons is known so far, but the locality is brought into relation with the ministerials of Thunau. A pastor Anselm mentioned in 1213 is referred to here. A St. Margaret's Church is mentioned in 1213 and 1443. However, the mentioned Margaret's Church can also be located elsewhere, and further mentions would not be securely identifiable with the "Klösterl". According to another tradition, a monastery is said to have existed here.

Today, only a small wall remnant of the Klösterl remains, as a large part of the ruin was blown up during railway construction in 1887.
