In Lezhë, Albania, stands the Lezhë Castle Ruin, also known as Kalaja e Lezhës. This historic site ranges from Illyrian origins to Ottoman reconstructions.
History+
Lezhë Castle was originally built by the Illyrians. In 1440, the fortifications underwent an expansion by the Venetians. Following the Ottoman conquests in 1522, the castle was rebuilt again.

The Lezhë Castle Ruin is located in the city of Lezhë, in the district and region of Lezhë in Albania. It is situated at an elevation of approximately 172 meters above sea level.
