The Lomersheim Castle Ruin, also known as Rotenburg, is a hilltop castle ruin on a spur of the northern Enz valley slope.
History+
The origins of Lomersheim Castle date back to the 11th or 12th century. It was built by the Lords of Lomersheim, a noble family documented from 1147 to 1634, who served the Counts of Vaihingen. A pivotal event in its history was its destruction during the Peasants' War in 1525. The tower was eventually blown up in 1817, shaping the ruin's current appearance.

The Lomersheim Castle Ruin is located above the district of Lomersheim in the municipality of Mühlacker, Enzkreis, Baden-Württemberg, Germany. It sits at an elevation of approximately 264 meters above sea level.

Visitors can explore the stump of the former residential tower and remnants of the curtain walls that extend down towards the village. The ruin is accessible to the public.
