Neu-Leonroth Castle

The remains of the Castle can be visited

When the path over the Pack from the Teigitschklamm to the Gößnitzbach valley was relocated around 1300, Alt-Leonroth was abandoned and Neu-Leonroth was built near the new road. At the beginning of the 14th century, the main castle with an unusually extensive outer bailey was built by burgraves of St. Lambrecht Abbey.
