The castle ruin Neu-Tannegg, also known as Boll Castle, is on a ridge above the Wutach Gorge.

History+

The origins of Neu-Tannegg Castle date back to the 12th century, when the Lords of Boll, mentioned around 1160 as vassals of the Krenkingers, are considered its builders. In the 14th century, the complex passed into the possession of the Lords of Tannegg. After a period of frequent changes in ownership, decay began after 1476. No violent destruction of the castle has been recorded.
