Prezë Castle (Kalaja e Prezës)
The Prezë Castle Ruin, also known as Kalaja e Prezës, is situated above the village of the same name in western Albania. This complex offers a view over the plain of Tirana.
History+
Construction of the castle began in the 14th century and was completed in the early 15th century. It originally belonged to the local noble family of the Topias. The complex is characterized by four corner towers, with a later added clock tower erected between 1800 and 1850. The Prezë Castle Ruin is now protected as a cultural monument.

The ruin is located in Prezë, in the district of Tirana, within the Tirana region of Albania. It stands on a hill at approximately 270 meters above sea level.
