Prümerburg Castle

Prümerburg was first documented in 1337, its construction is presumed to date back to the 12th century. It was a fief of the Counts and later Dukes of Luxembourg. The first known feudal lord in 1337 was Walther von Meysenburg. In 1351, Gottfried von Meysenburg and his wife Katharina von Homburg took over the castle. The lordship passed to the Lords of Brandenburg, followed by the families of Vinstingen and von Haracourt, who each acquired it through marriage.
