The remains of the Castle can be visited

In 1141, Otto I de Lengenpach is mentioned for the first time as a castle owner. His successors soon called themselves only after Rehberg.

When Otto V, cathedral provost of Regensburg, was slain in 1235, the lordship fell to the sovereign. From 1314, it belonged to Agnes of Hungary as a widow's residence.
