The remains of the Castle can be visited

Once owned by the Provostry of Gurk, the castle is mentioned in a feudal register around 1200 as a fief of the Trixeners. As late as 1723, the "Rhuenacher turn in Schaumb" is mentioned. However, the beginning of the castle's decay is not precisely dated. Unfortunately, only limited information about this castle is available.
