The remains of the Castle can be visited

The Sichtenbergers were first mentioned in 1147. They were vassals of the Counts of Burghausen-Schalla. In 1165, Odalricus de Sihtenberch and Ulricus junei de Sihtenberch are named. Until 1229, the Sichtenbergers appear several times in documents. After that, there are no records of the castle and its lords for several decades.
