The Stallegg Castle Ruin, also known as Stacheleck, is a former hill castle at approximately 769 meters above sea level near Löffingen-Göschweiler in the Breisgau-Hochschwarzwald district of Baden-Württemberg. Today, only one wall remains of the complex.

History+

The origins of Stallegg Castle date back to the 13th century, when it was first mentioned around 1240 in connection with the Knights of Stallegg. This family, which included Heinrich III von Stahleck, a Bishop of Strasbourg, owned the castle until the end of the 14th century. Subsequently, ownership passed to the Lords of Blumegg, who later shared the complex with the Lords of Allmendshofen and the Lords of Bern.
