Stollenburg Castle
The Stollenburg castle ruin, a former hilltop castle, sits on the Stollenberg near the municipality of Durbach in Baden-Württemberg. It lost its significance as early as the 14th century.
History+
The Stollenburg was destroyed in 1328. Following this event, the castle was abandoned in favor of the nearby Staufenberg Castle and was not rebuilt.

The Stollenburg ruin is located at approximately 382 meters above sea level on the Stollenberg near Durbach in the Ortenau district, Baden-Württemberg, Germany.

Today, only a few remnants of the former castle complex are visible. In addition to some minor wall remnants, the preserved moats and ramparts of the former fortification remain.
