The remains of the castle can be visited

The builder of the castle is not known. It may have been Anselm von Kuenring, who owned Krumau around the turn of the 11th to the 12th century. With Sibito de Durrenberc, the Lords of Thurnberg were first mentioned in a document in 1209.
