The remains of the castle can not be visited

According to the appendix of Franz Herndl's novel 'Die Trutzburg', Romans built a fort on the island during the time of Marcus Aurelius, from whose ruins a castle emerged in the Middle Ages. Around 1295, the island was under princely rule and was pledged to Albero von Volkersdorf in 1314.
