Caherconnell Stone Fort
The Caherconnell Stone Fort is a well-preserved Celtic stone ringfort. It is situated in the karst landscape of the Burren in County Clare.
History+
This stone ringfort was inhabited over a long period, with traces dating back from approximately 500 to 1500 CE. Since summer 2010, Caherconnell has also served as an archaeological field school, where aspiring archaeologists can learn practical techniques under the guidance of experienced professionals.

In Carran, in County Clare (An Clár) within the Munster (An Mhumhain) region of Ireland, is the Caherconnell Stone Fort. It stands at an elevation of approximately 118 m above sea level.
