The Castel Zwingenberg was built in 1222 by the Lords of Zwingenberg. In 1525 the castle was destroyed and rebuilt again hereafter. In 1900 the castle Zwingenberg was expanded and renovated. The Lords of Stachelburg and their descendants still live on Zwingenberg.
