Castello Orsini-Odescalchi

In the town of Bracciano in the Province of Rome, Lazio region, Italy, is the Castello Orsini-Odescalchi. It is one of the best-preserved and largest historical castle complexes of its kind in Italy.
History+
The history of the Castello Orsini-Odescalchi is linked to the noble families Orsini and Borgia. In 1669, the castle passed into the possession of the Odescalchi family. Between 1803 and 1848, the castle and the town of Bracciano were owned by the banking family Torlonia, but were later reacquired by the Odescalchi, who still own the property today.

The castle stands at an elevation of approximately 290 meters above sea level on the highest point of the town of Bracciano.
