Charlotten Castle

Count Ludwig Gottfried had the small castle built in 1712 and 1713 for his wife, Luise Charlotte, a born Countess of Hohenlohe-Langenburg. It was originally named Schlösschen Charlottenberg. In 1782, the property was sold to farmers. Although it was later temporarily reacquired by the Princes of Hohenlohe-Bartenstein, it suffered severe damage from artillery fire in 1945. Two years later, in 1947, it was rebuilt as a residential house with a barn. Today, it remains as a six-axis, rectangular building with a hip roof and is popularly known as Charlottenschlössle.
