Château Aile (Vevey)
Château de l'Aile+
The Château de l'Aile was sold by the municipality to Adam Chastelain in 1680. In 1684, ownership transferred to Vincent Hertner, who came from a merchant family in St. Gallen. Hertner had the castle rebuilt and bequeathed it to his nephew Martin Couvreu von Deckersberg, a banker in London. He left the property to Jacques-Edouard Couvreu (1803-1872), who rebuilt the castle from 1840-1846. Since 2007, the castle has belonged to the German Grohe family.
