Château Aubonne
On the northern edge of Aubonne's old town stands Château Aubonne, a castle in the canton of Vaud. Its origins date back to the 11th century, but today its appearance is shaped by a reconstruction from the 17th century.
History+
The history of Château Aubonne began in the 11th century, when it consisted of two separate building complexes. A transformation occurred in the 17th century, when the castle was largely rebuilt. From this period, around 1680, date the palace and the round tower with its domed roof. Inside the palace is an arcaded courtyard, and the courtroom has a painted ceiling from 1670. Between 1980 and 1985, the castle underwent restoration.

Château Aubonne is located in the municipality of Aubonne in the district of Morges, in the canton of Vaud, Switzerland. It is situated at an elevation of approximately 532 meters above sea level.
