History+

The château was constructed in 1900 as the residence for the tobacco manufacturer Maurice Burrus. During the Second World War, the property was requisitioned by the SS and served as a training center for officers. After Maurice Burrus's death in 1959, the building was initially sold to a religious congregation before passing into private ownership. Since 1993, Château Burrus has been listed as a historical monument.
