Château Chapelle-sur-Moudon
The Château de Chapelle-sur-Moudon was built in 1750 by Louis-Samuel de Praroman for his sister, the wife of Charles-Louis de Réal. Around 1800, the castle was bought by the family of Pierre-Frédéric de Meuron, husband of Anne Roux. In 1827, it was purchased by Mr. Jean-Charles Pache, a notary in Chapelle, who lived with his brother in the family farmhouse across the street. In 1900, the main body of the castle was raised by one floor and a balcony was added. In 1907, an extension was built, and the castle served as a boarding school for young girls.
From 1952, the castle was used by a community of heirs. In 1984, Jean-Frédéric Pache bought the castle back. He had it restored and converted into apartments.
