Château Cos Labory is a castle located in Saint-Estèphe, in the French department of Gironde in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region. It is known for its classification as a “Cinquième Grand Cru Classé” since 1855.

History+

The origins of the Cos Labory wine estate date back to 1789, when its vineyards were separated from the neighboring Château Cos d'Estournel during the French Revolution. François Labory became the first owner after this division, lending his name to the property. In 1845, Louis-Gaspard Estournel reacquired the estate, but was forced to sell it again just seven years later due to financial difficulties. Since 1958, Château Cos Labory has been owned by the Audoy family, who continue to manage it today.
