History+

The origins of the château date back to the 12th century, when the Aps family erected an initial keep. In 1284, the castle passed into the possession of the Adhémar family, who added an additional wing. Between 1779 and 1793, the estate was repeatedly plundered by local townsmen reacting to the lifestyle of the then-residents, the Montagut family.
