Château d'Aulteribe

The castle's origins date back to the late Middle Ages. During the second half of the 19th century, the structure underwent renovations and restorations, during which medieval-style elements were added. In 1954, the last owner, Marquis Henri de Pierre, bequeathed the castle and its contents to the French state. It has been classified as a Monument Historique since March 30, 1949. The surrounding park, believed to have been laid out in the first half of the 19th century, was added to the national heritage inventory in 1991.
