Château d'Échéry
Near Sainte-Croix-aux-Mines in Upper Alsace are the ruins of Château d'Échéry. This site is also known as Château de Haut-Echery, Château du Haut Eckerich, or Château de Belmont.
History+
The first documented mention of the Château d'Échéry dates back to 1250. At that time, the castle was owned by the Dukes of Lorraine. It was granted as a fief to the Lords of Echery.

The ruins of Château d'Échéry are situated at an elevation of approximately 488 meters above sea level, near the commune of Sainte-Croix-aux-Mines in the Haut-Rhin department, part of the Grand Est region in France.
