History+
The origins of Château d'Urtubie date back to 1341, when a first feudal castle was constructed. However, this structure was demolished and burned down in 1497, leaving only a few defensive walls and a keep. In 1505, the castle was rebuilt on the ruins of the previous edifice. The building underwent extensive renovation and expansion in 1745. Since 1974, Château d'Urtubie has been listed as a historical monument.
