History+
The origins of the Blandy-les-Tours fortification date back to around 1220, when Guillaume II and Adam III, the Viscounts of Melun, had the first structure built. In the 14th century, during the Hundred Years' War, the complex underwent alterations and expansions that shaped its current appearance. After a long period of decay, restoration work began in 1984 and was completed in 2007, making the castle accessible to the public once again.
