The Château de Bourron is a castle in the French region of Île-de-France.
History+
The origins of the castle date back to the 16th century. Its construction was made possible by the marriage of François de Sallard to Diane Clausse, whose father, as Finance Secretary to King Henri II, contributed a fortune. In 1725, the estate served as a place of exile for the Polish King Stanisław Leszczyński. During the French Revolution in 1794, the castle was plundered and devastated by revolutionaries from Nemours.
