Château de Flamarens
The Château de Flamarens is a castle complex in the French region of Occitanie, which was partially damaged by fire in the 20th century.
The first documented mention of the Château de Flamarens dates to 1289. It is believed that the castle underwent expansion during the 14th century. Between 1469 and approximately 1475, further construction work was carried out under the direction of Jean de Cazanove, commissioned by Jean de Grosolles. A northern section of the complex was built before 1536 by Georges Dauzières for Arnaud de Grossolles. A fire in 1943 led to the partial destruction of the castle.
The castle is in Flamarens, in the Gers department in the Occitanie region of France, at an elevation of approximately 201 meters above sea level.
