The Château de Gironville is a castle located in the French commune of Macau. It is known for its history as a wine estate.
History+
The origins of Château de Gironville date back to the late 1800s, when Mr. Duffour-Dubergie established the estate. At that time, it encompassed an area of 155 hectares, of which 35 hectares were dedicated to viticulture. In the early 20th century, the property was owned by the mayor of Bordeaux. During the Great Depression in the 1920s, the estate fell into disrepair.
