Château de la Faye

The origins of the Château de la Faye date back to the 13th century, when a simple defensive tower was built. In 1359, a tower was added to the south side, followed by another in the 15th century. The fortress is documented in 1476 as “Faya Fortalitium.” The main residential building was constructed at the end of the 15th century and comprises three floors. An additional tower extension with an archway providing access to a staircase was added in the 16th century. In the 18th century, adjustments were made to the roof, including the installation of skylights.
