The origins of the Château de la Fleunie date back to the 12th century, when it was built on the left bank of the Vézère. It served the Knights Hospitaller and the Sovereign Military Order of Malta as a commandery house. Following a restoration in 1990, the estate was converted into a hotel-restaurant.
