In Marseille, the Château de la Reynarde is a historic castle that was once a medieval fortress and was transformed into its current form in the 18th century.
History+
The origins of the Château de la Reynarde lie in a medieval fortress, which was converted into a castle in the 18th century. At that time, it was owned by the French noble family de Félix. In 1868, the merchant and shipowner Louis Régis acquired the property and initiated renovations that continued until the end of the 19th century. Since July 17, 1996, the castle and its park have been protected as a Monument historique.
