Château de Lalinde
The Château de Lalinde is a castle in the French region of Nouvelle-Aquitaine, in the Dordogne department, within the commune of Lalinde. Dating from the 13th century, it overlooks the Dordogne River.
History+
The origins of the Château de Lalinde trace back to the 13th century when it was known as Castrum de la Lynde and was built above the Dordogne River. In the 18th century, the keep of the estate served as a prison. The castle underwent a transformation in the 19th century, when it was converted into a hotel-restaurant.

Today, the Château de Lalinde is privately owned. From the original medieval complex, two remnants of corner turrets are still preserved, adjoining what remains of the former keep.
