The Castle can be visited

In Menthon-Saint-Bernard in the French department of Haute-Savoie is the Château de Menthon. At an altitude of approximately 596 meters above sea level, the complex stands on a rocky outcrop.

History+

The castle's origins date back to the 10th century, when a first fortification was erected around 923. From 1180 onwards, the castle became the ancestral seat of the Menthon family. The current buildings, constructed between the 13th and 19th centuries, show a long history.
