In the Limousin region of France stands the Château de Mortemart. The castle complex is characterized by its two round towers.
History+
The Château de Mortemart dates back to the 15th century, when it was built by the Mortemart family as a residence. The ducal title was bestowed upon the Mortemart dynasty in the 17th century under the reign of Louis XIV. After the building had fallen into ruin, it was repurchased by a descendant of the noble family at the end of the 19th century. In the 20th century, the Château underwent restoration, including the reconstruction of its original moat.

The castle is situated in the village of Mortemart in the Haute-Vienne department, Limousin region, France, at an elevation of approximately 298 meters above sea level.
