The Château de Saint-Léon-Pfalz is a castle in Eguisheim, in the Upper Rhine region of France, with a history dating back to the 8th century.

History+

The castle's origins trace back to the 8th century, when it was built by the Lords of Egisheim. Ownership transferred to the Counts of Dagsburg. The first documentary mention of the complex dates to the year 1002. In the second half of the 13th century, a new building was constructed on the site. Towards the end of the 18th century, the castle underwent partial demolition. A fire in 1877 destroyed parts of the complex, leading to a partial reconstruction between 1886 and 1894.

The castle is situated in Eguisheim, a commune in the Haut-Rhin department in the Grand Est region of France. It stands at an elevation of approximately 205 meters above sea level.
