Château de Schengen
The Château de Schengen, a historic castle in the far southeast of Luxembourg, blends history with modern utility. It is situated in the village of Schengen, near the borders with France and Germany, serving today as a place of hospitality.
History+
The origins of the estate date back to 1390, when a castle was built on this site. In 1812, Jean-Nicolas Collart ordered the demolition of the remaining castle structures to erect the current château in their place. Of the original medieval fortification, only a round tower survived, which remains a visible element of the complex to this day.

The Château de Schengen is located in the municipality of Schengen in the canton of Remich, within the district of Grevenmacher in Luxembourg. It stands at an elevation of approximately 149 meters above sea level.
