The origins of the estate date back to 1390, when a castle was built on this site. Over the centuries, the complex underwent various changes. In 1812, Jean-Nicolas Collart ordered the demolition of the remaining castle structures to erect the current château in their place. Of the original medieval fortification, only a distinctive round tower survived, which remains a visible element of the complex to this day.
