Château de Schüttbourg
Near Kautenbach, above the left bank of the Clerve in Luxembourg, stands the Château de Schüttbourg. Its history is marked by destruction and reconstruction.
History+
The Schüttbourg was first documented in 1406. In 1576, a new construction of the complex took place. In 1805, the castle was demolished. The remaining ruins suffered a blow in 1869 due to a lightning strike. In 1936, the castle was rebuilt in its current form.

The Château de Schüttbourg is located near Kautenbach in the Wiltz district, which belongs to the Diekirch region in Luxembourg. It stands at an elevation of approximately 330 meters above sea level.
