History+
The Schüttbourg was first documented in 1406. In 1576, a comprehensive new construction of the complex took place. A sad chapter for the castle began in 1805 when it was demolished. The remaining ruins suffered another severe blow in 1869 due to a lightning strike. It was not until 1936 that the castle was rebuilt in its current form.
