Château de Val-Duchesse
The Château de Val-Duchesse in Brussels-Auderghem is a castle, distinguished by its former function as a priory and its current role as an accessible cultural heritage site.
The origins of the estate date back to 1262, when Adelaide of Burgundy, Duchess of Brabant and widow of Henry III, founded a priory for women. The current castle building was constructed in 1780 and originally served as the residence for the prioress of the monastery.
The Château de Val-Duchesse is situated in Brussels-Auderghem, part of the Brussels-Capital Region in Belgium. It is located at an altitude of approximately 52 meters above sea level.
It is managed by the Belgian Royal Trust.
