History+

The origins of the Château des Étourneaux date back to the 15th century. Duke Jean II de Bourbon had this fortified estate built and transferred it to one of his illegitimate children in 1484. The castle retained its original structure. The facades, roofs, the spiral staircase, and two chimney hoods were recognized and protected as historical monuments on January 15, 1974.
