The Château du Belvédère, a royal castle, is located in Brussels-Laeken and serves as a residence for the royal family.

The castle was built in 1788 for Edward Walckiers, with architect Auguste Payen overseeing its construction. In 1854, Francis Haussy acquired the estate. On October 29, 1867, Leopold II purchased the castle for 500,000 gold francs, equivalent to approximately 1.75 million euros today.
