Château du Fosteau

The origins of the Château du Fosteau date back to the 14th century. After 1380, Wauthier de Semousies was granted dominion over Fosteau by Duchess Joanna of Brabant. The castle changed hands multiple times, passing to the families of Zwenne, de Marotte, de Henry, and de Jamblines. These families expanded the complex with various structures. Towards the end of the 14th century, a knight's hall was added, which is now considered one of Belgium's most significant Gothic halls.
