Located in Crouy-sur-Ourcq in the Seine-et-Marne department in the Île-de-France region, France, the Château du Houssoy is a castle complex with origins in the 14th and 15th centuries. The ruin is an example of medieval defensive architecture.
History+
The construction of the Château du Houssoy took place during the 14th and 15th centuries. In 1932, a wing of the complex, extending along the Avenue de la Gare and equipped with machicolations, was listed as a Monument historique. This classification was expanded in 1962 to include the keep and the gabled wall of the former residence, along with its chimneys.
