Château du Petit-Kœnigsbourg

The Château du Petit-Kœnigsbourg is a ruined castle few hundred meters west of the Château du Haut-Kœnigsbourg location in Alsace Orschwiller - Département Bas-Rhin. As an annex to the Château du Haut-Kœnigsbourg they should already promptly in the 12th Century as a simple tower castle to have been built. In a document of 1174 is of two towers on the Staufenberg the speech. In the period of interregnum was to 1267 by the Lords of Rathsamhausen expanded. 1398 it is mentioned as part of the "teil an der purg zu Kungesperc", and already in 1417 called "öden burg zu Kunsberg", so as abandoned castle.
