The Château du Plessis-Bourré, near the village of Écuillé in the French region of Pays de la Loire, is an example of late medieval architecture. It is well-preserved and was rapidly completed, presenting itself today as an unaltered testament to its time of origin.

History+

The construction of the Château du Plessis-Bourré began in 1468 under Jean Bourré. He served as Privy Councillor and Treasurer under King Louis XI, and continued his career as Secretary of Finance under Charles VIII and Louis XII.
